Reasonable Suspicion Awareness for Supervisors Training Certification $150 per person (2hrs, DOT compliant)

-For all DOT companies (exception: owner-operators).

Every company covered by Department of Transportation Regulations that employs safety-sensitive employees must have at least one Supervisor certified with the Suspicion Supervisor Awareness Training. This is also mandated by MPI when insuring your fleet. Substance abuse costs employers approximately $10,000/year due to absenteeism, lost-time for accidents, and increased health with WCB. Employers must understand that they cannot test employees for drugs and alcohol randomly without proper documentation and proof. This course educates on proper tools and skills to recognize and handle possible substance abuse within the workplace. The Supervisor must have a thorough knowledge of his/her responsibilities under the Federal Regulations (49 CFR Part 40).

Designated Employee Representative Training Certification $140 per person (1.5hrs, DOT compliant)

Every company covered by Department of Transportation Regulations that employs safety-sensitive employees must have at least one Designated Employer Representative (DER). The role is sometimes called Drug and Alcohol Program Manager (DAPM). This person is in charge of administering the company’s substance abuse testing program. The DER must have a thorough knowledge of his/her responsibilities under the Federal Regulations (49 CFR Part 40). The DER has the authority to make decisions about the testing process and answer questions about it.
